Mondays, Wednesdays, and every other Saturday and/or Sunday (alternate Saturdays and Sundays). Will add Thursdays once familiar with the Patient and Plan of Care. On Thursdays, the nurse will assist the patient to attend an adult day program for socialization. Exact start and end times to be worked out with parents.

Searching for Medicare/Medicaid Certified Agency (Type 60) or Medicaid Independent Nurse(s) for 10-12 hour Private Duty Nursing shifts for individual diagnosed with Allergies, Acid Reflux, Chronic Autonomic Storming, Central Sleep Apnea, Chronic Respiratory Failure, Constipation, Trach and Vent Dependent, DO of Urinary system, Familial Dysautonomia (Riley-Day), ID, Microcephalia, Quadriplegia NOS, Spastic Quadriplegia Cerebral Palsy, Visual Impairment, Adrenal Insufficiency. Parents assist with medical care and mobility tasks when needed and will train nurse(s) on daughter's care. Nurse will assist individual to attend a day program one day a week (Thursdays) once they are comfortable with her care. Until then, the parent will assist their daughter to attend the day program. The goal is to keep the patient well and avoid hospitalizations and to increase socialization/community engagement. Nurse may be asked to assist the parent to take daughter to medical appointments.
Best ways to communicate with the individual:
The patient is unable to speak. She likes to be talked with as the adult she is and she enjoys hearing her nurses chat with her about their day and experiences etc..... She communicates through facial expressions and body language and is learning to use her new Tobii Eye Gaze device for increased communication.
