This was a great stressor for her family. Tracey researched and educated herself to better understand what the person and family were experiencing and relayed the concerns through collaboration with Fairfield County Transit. She helped to explain, learn more about, and resolve issues so that transportation coordination could be obtained more easily. Thank you, Tracey, for your efforts!

Lori did a great job in setting up the Assistive Technology Fair! It was set up nicely and every vendor was informative and person-centered. Technology is ever-changing. Lori networks with these vendors, does research on what is out there, and tests items so that our families and staff benefit from this knowledge. This innovation is what is moving us all forward.

Stephanie reviewed a 12-month history of our office supply purchases. In doing so, she and the Finance Team were able to evaluate the cost and expenditure. Stephanie then explored alternative vendors to determine where items should be purchased. Once a decision was made for the best vendor, Stephanie went through all the processes to get the new process created and user accounts created for purchasing. Stephanie's work ensures Fairfield DD is getting the most for our public dollars.
Nominated Value: Creating a Brand of Excellence
For the 2nd year in a row, our cafeteria has received the Food Safety Gold Medal Award from the Fairfield County Health Department. Many requirements and specifications must be met to achieve this award, and the FC Health Department will only recognize food operations that consistently perform exceptionally well throughout the licensing year. Only operations that finish the year with no critical or non-critical violations identified during routine inspections may receive this recognition. Thank you, Michelle, for all your hard work and dedication to the safety and well-being of our students and staff!
