Empowering Children Through Early Intervention
Fairfield DD enlists qualified providers to support and partner with the child and family. The provider addresses the family’s priorities and concerns while encompassing learning styles and cultural beliefs. Once a plan is created, we schedule visits in places the family and child spend time like the home, a daycare setting, or even the grocery store. We believe children learn best from people and activities already in their lives, so we center activities on the child’s interests and routines.
We use a coaching model when meeting where the family and staff can share successes and concerns. It allows providers to model techniques and ideas so that the family or caregiver can continue to implement strategies throughout the child’s daily routines to promote ongoing learning. Together, we find ways to support the child during everyday activities.
Each child and family are assigned a primary service provider and a service coordinator. Additional members may include Developmental Specialist, and Occupational, Physical and Speech Therapists, as well as hearing and vision specialists. Together, we work to assist the child in learning as they advance to their developmental milestones.
